The annoying thing about owning a Surge, is that I use it like a REAL tool and not like a multitool....so I keep forgetting to take any pictures with it

When I use it I forget I am even holding a multitool...so much so I either keep it in my toolbox or I keep forgetting to remove it from my work belt.

It really is that good!

In which case it doesn’t see as much usage as I had hoped with it, but when I use it ...IT DOES get used.

I wasn’t kidding actually, it’s just that good.

Normally with a multitool it’s on ones belt or in ones pocket as a backup, but with the surge it is so well build that I can get most things done with just the Surge.

With the pliers for instance, they are so beefy that I can bend and twist with them all day without them breaking a sweat.

The knives are large enough that I can use them for everything I would use a fixed blade for, and they lock solidly too.

The screwdrivers have a good reach to them and in combination with the bit kit and my custom 3D bit driver and the heavy duty construction of the Surge, there’s really not any screws that it can’t break loose or tighten real hard.

It really is that good, and I keep forgetting to edc it because I tend to grab it as a primary tool and not use it as my backup belt carry.

Reading your challenge:

I really only use my Surge once a week or so, plus I keep forgetting to take pictures with it. I don’t know if I would be much fun in the challenge or if it’s okay to just post pictures once a week?

I really like the size and it looks like you can use it for heavy work
The challenge will be a good way of having to use it everyday
But you do have to take a pic everyday for the challenge  :tu:

The only thing I don’t “like” about the Surge, is I think the Awl is a bit bulky / awkwardly shaped, especially compared to the Awl in a SAK.

With that said though, I haven’t had any problems like so with the awl in the Surge. I just kind of wish it was narrower like the one in a SAK.

Bit it is a heavy duty MT so we can’t blame it for having beefier tools than light & medium duty MTs / SAKs

I also kind of wish the saw was longer, but that’s not a huge deal, as I usually carry a foldable saw with me when I’m in the woods and also because the saw is in a “T-Shank” adaptor, the saw can easily be replaced with a longer saw from a jigsaw, so again; no biggie.

But yeah, I don’t think I’d be able to post pictures everyday of the Surge in use.

:iagree: the awl is a bit wide I prefer the awl on my PioneerX
And the saw blade is quite short but it would be easy
enough to carry a longer saw if you need one  :tu:

Thurgeday  :salute:

The sun came out thus morning so I decided to pull the folding chairs out of the shed and charge myself up with some solar power  :D

.. however, for some unexplainable reason my seating position suddenly became uneven  :dunno:

Surge and cable-ties to the rescue...
