Any world travelers? Looking for special journal/diary
on: November 19, 2018, 02:14:56 AM
Ok, maybe someone out there can help me out, I have my own setups but this time I’m looking for something for our older son, he joined the navy and still has yet to go into boot camp, and a lot of training/learning for what he signed up for, but what he wants to do is travel, and for everywhere he goes he wants to write it down!
Idk what he can take but he probably doesn’t want anything larger then a 5” x 7”, and I’d want to maybe make or have made a custom leather cover, but what about a layout? Anything out there that has pages that has like a line for what country, date, and other key features?

I swear by using blank pages for my travel diary. It's flexible, uncluttered, and cheap. I would have gone for something similar to Moleskine's 9x14 cm cahier journals (thin with flexible binding) and mailed the journal back home when it was full, and simply starting another one. Not what you asked for, but my 2 centicredits. :)

Mail the journal home when full, huh, that would soooo make mom happy if he kept writing things down then sending it all home for her to read!

I did think of something good, how about “rite in the rain” notebooks, heck at sea on a boat you really don’t want papers to get wet,,

Sea water, food spills, beer, coffee... We are talking young men living in cramped quarters. ☺

Yeah, mom wouldn’t care, she’d still have what took him how many days to fill 180pages done in under an hour, then have to read it all over again.. lol..
