I have two of those models. The oldest one is about 30 years old and has no deer head emblazoned on the scale.

I'll get some pics up later today

You're welcome.

The logo is the old style, that is,it's metal embedded into the scale.

It’s a great combo with a fixed blade and the Victorinox Hunter for when you are out hunting.

I also have my surge with me in my Jeep just in case

Fellow Hunters,

I bought this one today.

As the pictures here (in the Victorinox Hunter Club) does not have the same look, I have a question...

What is the approximate date of this SAK?

I'll get a pic of mine when I get home from work. Mines doesn't have the deers head logo and has a grey slide switch for the locking blade.

Hi there Ricardo, that one looks like mine with the side lock. I think I got mine when they first came out maybe around 1992 (?)

The slide lock models were first introduced in the mid 1980's.

Some liner lock models were introduced in the mid 1990's.

All of the Hunters were slide lock models until 2017 when Vic switched to liner locks.

The Hunter XT and XS are liner locks and OHO.

Sir Rabi21,

Thanks for the precious information!  :hatsoff:

The Hunter arrived today. It is like new, in the box. Cool without the deer... :SAKnight:

Here are a few more Hunters offered by Vic.

The first pics which I posted above were stock photos.

The top photo are two Hunter XT models. They do have a saw although  I forgot to deploy that tool.

The next two photos are the two layer Hunter XS that has no openers.

The last photo, which may confuse the issue, is a dual grip that is similar to the XS but with openers .

Vic Hunter and a “sort of” mini-Hunter, Wenger Evolution 505 that incorporates a Victorinox blade (factory).  Kind of a 85mm Hunter 😛.
