Graphic Novel GAW
on: January 11, 2019, 10:40:24 AM
I find myself with two copies of V For Vendetta, the dark distopian story of totalitarian Britain. It's a beautifully written and drawn book that sits alongside the greats of the genre (Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, Sandman, Hellblazer etc). If you'd like my spare copy add your name to the list and I'll pick a winner on Feb 1st.

I'll start as an example (hope I don't win it - that would be embarrasing  :D)

'Use the force Harry' - Gandalf

Nice one, already got a copy, so I'm sitting this one out.
Also pretty fond of the movie adaptation with Hugo Weaving and John Hurt who goes from the guy being watched (1984) to the guy watching. You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain :D
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I'm fond of the movie too, despite what Alan Moore says about it  :D I thought they did a good job.

I'll sit this one out as I've had the hard copy, and have it in digital format, but awesome GAW Luke!

Aside from DR and Quinch,I reckon it's the best thing Alan Moore ever wrote, and a brilliant example of what can be achieved with graphic story telling
