If i don't  find any with no holes i can pack the holes with a sawdust and glue mix and hope for the best or yeah, go the epoxy route, it depends how smooth i can get it ...and hide the holes, my bandsaw kept throwing blades so didn't get a chance to cut deep, will worry about it at the weekend  :tu:

Ok ok, smurf it. I cheated a little today, the PM2 has been staring at me since I got it and I really tried to finish the challenge before I cut something with it... But today I had to try it when I was opening the mail, just some envelopes and a package containg some ironwood(I know, I need to do something with my recent wood purchases)(Image removed from quote.)

Nice - I do like those camo scales! If memory serves me right, some of colors are see thru  :tu:
The lighter color is see through(ish) so it looks different depending on how the light is :like:

Ray it's from a kit, blade, steel liners and screws/pins, worry about your own handle sort of thing, the blade is ground but not sharpened,  it's all very rough and ready but that's what i wanted, i don't have a pre made one so i have no clue how well they are finished, i just wanted it for the blade and screws, i will use the liners as templates then off to the spares bin with them and the pins as i only need one of them :tu:

day 20: this place is music for the soul

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

A kit! That is really nice then. To do your own handle and such. I like that  :tu:

Day 20:

Doing a little fly tying today. I pressed the Ulu into service for some thread snipping duty. It worked a bit better than expected, but fine point scissors still rule here on the tying bench.

Day 20

Doing some work out in the shop and had some zip ties hindering my progress, so they had to go!

This also gave me the opportunity to clean up my hatchet in preparation for the axe challenge.
