There's some gorgeous knives here!  I wish mine could help me shovel snow . Mine has been used mainly to cut open packets for lunch and dinner.

Day 21, cutting a burst hose, note the wear on the handle, seems the sheath is too tight  :twak:

Interesting, Borg. That seems a bit dramatic for such a short period of use.

RF, how is edge holding up?

You've been giving that blade a lot of use. Have you felt the need to retouch the edge?

For normal use it holds up well, but I have abused it when scraping stuff and cutting things I wouldn't use my nice knives for so I had to sharpen it twice so far to sort out a rolled edge here and there. It sharpens up very quick though :like:

Day 21:

Ulu saw more kitchen duty.

I'm making some Goulash today, at Mrs Nix's request. The Ulu got used to cube a rib roast for the stew:

The sharp blade just sliced through the meat beautifully. I have to say, the keen edge and continuous curve make this a great slicer.

I'll put some more details about the actual dish in the Chili Thread a little later.  :tu:

Nice one Nix. Also benefits from having the weight of your hand when cutting, so less wrist strain.  :like:
