Using theme no3?

No nuts there, only on the other 2.

Go nuts!

Yeah, but my nuts disappeared during the night and I haven't changed the theme... I'm on the good one... the one everyone (more or less) is on. The other themes are cack... not to my liking.

I was fighting with some recurring theme errors yesterday, looks like ShelfLife fell victim of that (and to make things worse, the errors are still happening )

I am seriously considering pushing everyone back on to the default theme and having SunRise optional. Shelflife is full of bugs. :poh:

Having your nuts disappear during the night does sound inconvenient.

I don't care for them all that much.
Do you want my nuts transfered to you?

Years of changes and updates and partial removals haven't done us any favours. Also trying to do things without incurring downtime.

Moving servers also, I believe this is the 4th host we've had with me involved with MTO.

I seem to be full of stupid questions, so it seems to be the right place to ask this.

1 - What actually do the "Nuts" signify?

2 - I'm assuming that the American flag  means I'm in America, but what is the green icon?  Certainly can't mean I'm Irish...

3 - And finally, at least for now, what are "Badges".  I see folks asking for badges, so I'm curious.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What a can of worms you've opened this time, PC.............

I'll give you my understanding:

1 - What actually do the "Nuts" signify?

The nuts under your name are a measure of how much you blather on and on on this forum. The more nuts, the more you've posted, and the more more nuts you must be......

2 - I'm assuming that the American flag  means I'm in America, but what is the green icon?  Certainly can't mean I'm Irish...

Yes, the flag designates your location (some people seem to live their lives in Spam cans, I don't get that). The green box indicates that you are on-line and signed in. If you are not on-line, your box will be colorless or empty. But....if you aren't on-line you can't see that...can you?  So your box will always appear green to you....as long as you are signed in to MTo and getting more nuts.

3 - And finally, at least for now, what are "Badges".  I see folks asking for badges, so I'm curious.

If you look at the bottom of my post, here, you will see I have a number of 'badges', aka 'merit badges', that represent challenges completed or interests such as making fires (another story for another time). You can see what badges or Awards are available by clicking your username at the top of the page, and then exploring the awards menu.

Here I've click on my own name and you can see the awards menu and how many awards I've earned (or bribed my way into getting):

After completing the 30-day Traditional challenge, you will be eligible to apply for the 30-day Trad or 30-day GEC badge!

Thanks, Nix,
Took me a while to find my question, once again.
Might have to apply for a badge, or two.  See folks "Applying" quite regularly, and didn't know what was up.

It's turned out harder than I thought it would be, to keep my Geppetto busy for 30 days, but I'm now keeping both grandkids during the week. Still trying to post something, each day.

Thanks again.
