Thanks :)

I already have five out of six (top right), but that blue one seems a bit hard to find.

Beautiful collection there, the one far right on the third row is unusual, the shield placement? I've never seen anything like that either...

Feeling like a very newbie collector now, lol... :)

That's a mod. A Spanish guy made those wooden scales and he included the shield & cross.

It's time for a new group shot, the 74mm family has expanded a little (but not much) since I took that photo.

No, the RocKnives are official Victorinox ones.

Some unique looking knives.   I guess the Rocknives might be somehting else to collect if they are not that expensive.

Thanks, didn't know that.
Pretty interesting: two of those rocknives scales come from Italy. :)

Yes, and no. Sometimes the .55 ones are refered to as "Bel Horizonte, Brasilia" instead of "Pantheon Granite, Italy". A bit of a mystery :)

Nope, they were available in the US as well. The RocKnives also had a SABI model no.

It all boils down to: it's been mined in Italy? :D

By the way: Can you owners take measurements of the Rocknives and post them? also, high quality pics might help, especially if someone wants to make stone scales.
I'm wondering how many millimeters is the scale thick. I guess around 3-4? It shouldn't be too hard to find marble or granite slabs with 5mm or so of thickness.

Still, I might try to make obsidian scales, if I figure out a way to work with it. There's plenty of material around here. With a bit of luck I might find two fragments long and flat enough to make scales out of them.

Not sure if this is a stupid question but wouldn't scales like these require the SAK to be very carefully handled? Stone would chip or crack easily with even a short drop for example.

I guess you're right, some of mine have chipped a bit. Not really made to be used.

Yeah, certainly not a SAK I would carry though
