What is inside this overflow container?
on: March 11, 2019, 09:50:36 AM
I have not done one of these for quite some time. This is my overflow storage container....

This is where I have been storing various things that need to be organized and stored properly with the rest of the collection. I figured it could be fun to take photos of what is in there for your viewing pleasure.

A survival knife. This needs to be stored with the rest of the collection...eventually.

Along with this cute little survival shovel.

I am a sucker for tech gadgets, and unfortunately, I figured I would play with one of those little video cameras. I haven't used it as of yet, and my expectations for the product are a bit low considering I have their Tac light and Tac camper light.

A Commercial Electric multi-tool.

This one has spring loaded wire strippers for single handed convenience.

Found this one used at the local pawn shop. Can't argue with a Leatherman Charge AL.

A Tech Toolz multi-tool with a built in pair of low powered binoculars.

A new still in package Stanley Fatmax T16.

A nice sheath.

This Mastergrip set.

A very cheap hobo knife that comes apart in two pieces.

A fold up funnel.

A pair of speed wrap cable.hose ties.

A pair of mini neck knives.

3 pack keychain flashlights.

A Canada 150 Anniversary commemorative flashlight.

A UST bare bones survival kit.

The kit comes with a large survival shelter/blanket, a light stick, a small button compass, and a role of nylon rope for the shelter or whatever you might need rope for.

A fold up camping cup.

A True Utility firelight and bullet cash stash.

Coghlans emergency horn. This thing is louder than a whistle.

Cheap mini medical kit.

A bicycle repair kit.

Outbound multi-tool set.

Real Avid Gun Tool Max. A double bought for the gun range...haven't used it yet.

Real Avid Pistol Tool, a second copy for use on the range. Like the one above, still unused.

A small assortment of key rings and carabiners.

A divers knife.

A SeaBoard multi-tool. I found this copy out of town in a curio shop. The tip of the file broke off, but the previous owner did a good job of re-profiling it as a flat head screwdriver. The price was right.

A small assortment of sharpeners.

A Coghlans portable hand saw.

A Dodge RAM folder bought at the local Chrysler dealer.

Adjustable wrench multi-tool.

An old Beck's Beer opener.

French Mess knife #1.

An old COAST Mini Pliers found in a shop. Missing the scissor spring...but had to pick it up as I don't tend to see these all that often for sale locally.

Kikkerland hammer multi-tool.

French Mess knife #2.

Odds and ends.

A pair of utility knives.

Large pill cases, one turned into a survival kit.

Cheap pocket multi-tool.

Medium sized multi-tool.

Winchester multi-tool.

Traveler multi-tool.

SOG Pocket PowerPlier.

And last but not least, a Kobalt multi-tool.

wow, the list went much longer than I expected!
Lots of interesting pieces, especially the multi-tools.
That electrician's tool looks nice. Does the Seaboard multi-tool have a gimlet?

Thanks.

I had to look up gimlet...if it means a small hand drill...then no it does not have one. It has an awl, a knife, and a shorter then original flat driver/file.  :)

Same maker Chako, Seaboard steel imported them from France to US and put their stamp on them, there were slightly different variations over the years  :tu:

No clue. My knowledge of Seaboard are limited to them being made in France back in the 50/60s.

I really like the brass handle on that Mastercraft (Canadian Tire) utility knife. The sheath looks great too! Surprised at given how so many of the designs are seen across various department and hardware store brands, that this hasn't been seen in the US.

I am a bit surprised at that as well. It is part of Canadian Tire's anniversary tool set which came out a few years back.
