I don't have as many as others here but, here's my current collection.I'm waiting (like others) for my B/O G.O.A.T (don't get too excited GF )Awlso my baton (ASP type) is B/O as well but I can't find a pic' at the moment A big "yes" from me and really loving the MXBS (bring on a Surge sized version Vic' )
I have some black oxide multitools. While I like the way they look, I don't like the way the black coating gets on my hands. More importantly, the black color makes it difficult to distinguish among the internal tools in low light conditions.
This was mentioned earlier. The initial excess powder can be wiped off. Preferably with some mineral oil. I like Ballistol. After that its fine. The impact on the implements visibility is a good point
Not worth the price difference from a regular model, IMHO.
I agree, good point. However, I tend to use the BO Wave the most, the internal implements are so varied in shape and bulk, it's hard to mistake them from one another.
That'd be a YAY from me. I have always like them. They wear so beautifully. I don't have a picture but I have a few and one day someone wanted my BOPST more than me so I sold it to them. I was so happy they got it as everyone needs a BOPST. I wish LM would BO all their offerings.
It's a significant difference, too. I'd be hesitant to pay such a premium just to try out black oxide. On the other hand, a Leatherman Rebar in black oxide is the same price as the equivalent plain stainless steel model. Sorta makes me wish I'd bought the BO one.
BOPST are not easy to find these days
Are you sure I have a few that are in drawers that are spotted easily enough *sniggers and run off*
I can only think of Victorinox charging a premium.Gerber and Leatherman seem not to.
I also do not like the way they look when scratched, though this is true for any tool or knife with coloured parts.

...Same here. I mitigate that as much as possible by carrying them in a sheath or a dedicated pocket, and taking care not to drop them or let them bang into other objects.
.....you obviously are not a NINJA sir !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally, I just don't get BO. Why would I want my tools to be less visible, covered in a finish that's not very good at rust prevention, AND pay a premium for the privilege? Not my thing, but people should do what makes them happy.
Hey, I heard Leatherman makes red oxide tools. You just gotta wait a short while for the rust to show up.
It's better visible in the sandy desert or snowy mountains? Joking aside, a black knife blade is more stealthy than a shiny one. This does help in public over here.I know that gives some people in other areas of the world a chuckle. Lucky you Also, I think every additional corrosion protection is a plus? And so far from what I have seen only Victorinox appears to charge a premium for BO.Oh, I thought these jokes were out of fashion by now.
Vics can rust as well
