Did my first real mod tonight, dropped a Wave+ plier head into an old-school Charge TTI. Looks and handles great!

Where did you get the head if I might ask? It's a mod I'm interested in.

I found some on ebay:

The seller is away at the moment until the 7th.

Thanks for the positive feedback!  :D

I have two more simple mods coming up soon when the parts arrive - a Wave+ blade swap (a 154CM plain blade and a serrated blade w/ a hook) and a Skeletool blade swap (154CM plain blade), courtesy of our own loki-mobile!  Pics to follow when complete!

Thanks,

What is your opinion in the strength of the pliers head with that massive cut out? Does it give the same feeling when using hard?

Honestly haven't used it enough to be able to tell. Mainly wanted to swap the plier head out because I dislike the cap crimper, the replaceable wire cutters are just (theoretically?) a bonus. My hunch is that the replaceable cutters would have a similar or even lesser impact to the strength of the tool as the cap crimper, but I honestly don't know for certain.
