Day 07:

I'm sure you guys know me well enough now to know that I like to 'improve' the vent holes in disposable coffee cups. This is usually a job that gets assigned to a SAK's awl.

Today Mrs Nix dragged me to the Hippie Food store where they sell some stuff that sounds like food and some stuff that sounds like it as alternative uses. But they do make and sell some good coffee. After pouring a cup, I realized that the lid would need to be improved.

I got a sideways look when I pulled out my Sodbuster...which in a Hippie Food store looks surprisingly large. That sideways glance turned into a quizzical stare when I set the Soddie down on the counter to photograph my efforts...

The Douk Douk looks nice. How to the work? Do they have a spring?

Jup. Similar to a SAK, but "hidden" inside the handle.

Not entirely sure myself, only that they are a Danish knife maker known for fixed blades, scout knives etc, i picked up a couple of folders as that's where my main interest lies  :tu:

Nailbreakers both of them but i'm sure they will settle down and be fine with use, i have been spoiled by the smoothness of the Grohmann
