Day 18.  :woohoo: :ahhh 4000 lumens
4000 lumens wow
I was looking at Streamlights 3000 lumens and thought that was overkill. With 4000 I bet you could see someone 300 yards away!

My GEC #44 is a hard one to open up also. The only thing I’m hating more is the sharp corners of the blades in the closed positing.

Really?  I too have a gunstock 44, and I think the pull is firm but quite manageable (maybe a pull force of 6-7, Sak being at 5 and 10 is welded shut).  Maybe I got lucky with mine?  I knew few models were just well documented as being nail pullers, and 54 is one of them.

Day: 18

I'm going camping, so my Day 19 snap might be a little late.

Barry will be keeping an eye on things, so don't think you can start misbehaving [more than usual] while I'm gone....

Day 18

GEC #43 and a Camillus #72

Used the #43 to trim back some bushes that were overgrowing onto the path on my morning walk.

Sorry didn't get an action pic.

After consulting with the judges, the winner of ICC#3 is Alan K!  Please send me your address by PM and we'll get your prize on the way!
Wow! That's a pleasant surprise. I didn't think it was that good. A big thank you to the judges (your checks are in the mail). I'll send that PM shortly.

After Fuzzy's failed attempt at cutting the cheese I thought I'd see how the #43 would perform .

Having a light lunch as its hotter than smurf today.

A nice Vermont Sharp cheddar and wheat thins with some carrots and fruit.

The Trapper had no trouble cutting the cheese  :tu:

Well done, Steve.  :tu:

Perhaps Fuzzy should recall the old adage about the workman not blaming his tools.  Just sayin'.......  :dunno:

Pulling the blade open has chipped my nail. I am now trying it a different way...put nail in normally and instead of pulling on the blade I am opening it up with the handle.
