Tree brand Stockman with a GEC 12, I am a little surprised by the quality of this Tree Brand stockman, rather well made.

I prefer using a small hand held stone for two reasons:
#1 It is always in my hiking pack so it will be there when I need it.
#2 I use water on the stone and not oil. Water is easier to find than oil is.
I hold the stone and will draw the back of the blade upwards and to the tip.
I touched up the blade and it is cutting nicer.

I prefer using a small hand held stone for two reasons:
#1 It is always in my hiking pack so it will be there when I need it.
#2 I use water on the stone and not oil. Water is easier to find than oil is.
I hold the stone and will draw the back of the blade upwards and to the tip.
I touched up the blade and it is cutting nicer.
