The blade was too far gone to reuse so they replaced it.

You can print a form from the Victorinox website to state what you want done to your knife and what should be left original. You only have to include the form with the knife.

I might have an email somewhere with repair costs from Vic.
Give me a few...

We have a winner  :tu: It is indeed a Handyman. Not sure why they would send me that SAK to replace a Nomad, but i am not complaining  :D

The old knife came back as well  :hatsoff:

Though it is not special as the Wenger Nomad, this is still a pretty decent deal! :woohoo:   Congrats to the new knife, and :tu: to Vic US trying to honor the warranty by doing this.

As an aside, I’m new to this site and as I’m typing this message all the animated smilies that are displayed for me to choose from are pushing my CPU usage and fan up to 100%. I’m going to have to close the page, type it offline and then come back and paste it. They seem unnecessary, I wonder if there’s a way to get rid of them.

Welcome to the boards knifetert.      Just use the quick reply box at the bottom of the thread page.

I have an Explorer with the grey magnifying glass and long Philips that I'd like to see refurbished. I also have a Swissbianco Yeoman missing the lens and needs a freshening up. Would both of these get replaced?
