Alox, but which model?
on: April 19, 2019, 05:59:27 PM
I use the large blade, saw, file, inline Phillips, scissors, awl, can opener and bottle opener the most. Are there any with all these implements or even a few more?

Short answer, no.  Nothing from the factory has those implements.  The farmer has the large blade/awl layer, saw layer and opener layer.  The pioneer X replaces the saw layer with the scissors.  Those are the most tool dense 93mm alox.

Now, if you want to go the mod route, basically anything is possible.

I’m just not understanding the pliers, on a sak all I see is a large pair of tweezers, I mean a multitool ok, but still very light work,

As I have said many times I carried the SwissChamp for over 40 years. Those pliers may not look like much but they can do amazing things. Don't sell them short.

I agree. Those pliers are great. I actually use them as much as a full size tool when I carry my swisschamp. Who does good work and doesn't cost as much as a house?

Oh I’m sure they’ve come in handy for uses for that scale, same for multitool pliers, they come in handy for many things, they just have limits. I just don’t have any use for pliers anymore, back in the day oh yeah, my multitools got there use, even broke the jaw off a crunch, but now after kinda falling in love with alox I’ve pretty much stuck to a pioneerX..

It depends. If you go for quality and amazing work it can cost. If you do it yourself it's much cheaper. Head over to the mod section and take a look

I pretty much need a pioneer x and farmer mixed and add an out the end Phillips & file. Would be cool to have that drawer mod as well.

Not the same one, several have been lost or just used to the point of worn out. I would guess 4 lost & 2 used up. Files worn out, blades sharpened until they almost make good needles, broken or cracked scales, that type of thing
