Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Touched up the linseed oil and burned my name into it since the wood burner was out.

Getting the truck ready for winter up here, secretly hoping one day I come across a downed tree or something lol

smart to put your name on it
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Put it back in rotation today and finally mounted a decent truck shovel. Tired of the cheap folding ones

Not sure if this happened in use, or from bouncing in the truck!

Ouch.  Seem like a spot where use could be the reason it chipped  :dunno:.

Oooooooowwwwwhhhh!!!  Did you hit a nail or a big staple maybe? Normally you'd get that kind of damage on the top of the bit if you'd accidentally hit a stone or something.

Not that I have that much experience welding an axe, but one time I got careless and chipped my axe like that, when it glaced a grill top.

Looks like you hit rock or a nail.  It's possible it bounced around a bit to much in the bed of the truck, but I'm guessing you hit a rock.

I recommend a mask for yer axes, especially when traveling!   :tu:
