Hi everyone! I've finally (after a few months of waiting) received my BY SAKs, all three at once! Victorinox silver 77 v1, Victorinox silver 77 v2 and Wenger 77. Now I'm missing the red Vic 77...
I didn’t realize Vic made both versions in the same year. Nice collection
They look to be in a good condition very nice
Thanks everyone and thanks for the badge! Here's a side by side comparison of two Vics.
Agreed Jaya-Man - Thanks for the tipNeleDo - Can I add this pic to the Wiki please ? - You would be credited as the author (as NeleDo - unless you tell me otherwise)Thanks
Congratulations on the badge NeleDo!
Yes they did... 77 is one of those transition years...Huntsman, another good pic to post over on Sakwiki soldier page...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Awesome collection. Good luck finding the red.
Nice work! Shiny new badge and photos in the wiki
Thanks! I hope my trio will turn into quartet some day!
Would the 4th one be the red Vic? Or is there a transitional Wenger, too?
Of course you can use any of those photos. NeleDo as the author sounds just fine
Great - Thank you - The photo is there now:https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Soldier+1961#Evolution_of_the_1961_SoldierAnd it has also gone into a brand new photo gallery for the Soldiers You know I did some work on (created!) the Soldier page evolution section a few years ago and read these statements about the two variations being available in the same year and found it fascinating and weird! I almost didn't believe it !! (most of the Wiki work I do is shuffling other people's info to make the Wiki easier to use - I don't create much new stuff!! )So it's just brilliant to have these two photos of the 77 and 93 transitions. However thinking about it now, having uploaded these two photos - It is (bleedin') obvious that that would happen !! Even if the Swiss Miltary changed their minds, or instructed the change to the new format, on 31st Dec 19xx for implementation on 1st Jan 19xx+1It's very unlikely that Vic would have used up all their stock at exactly that moment!! And we know Vic never wastes parts !!Still brilliant to have the piccies ND and JM - Great stuff - Thanks And of course pictures speak louder than words - So any other doubting Thomas' can see the evidence. Happy DaysThis Wiki work is never ending!!
