Hey David, love the Yorkshire Tea + Sideclip, a strange association for a man from the States? How have you come to have that brew out there lol?
Yes I'm the same ed from the other channel. I'm running a retirement home for old Sheffield knives and an ever growing amount of LM's over the yrs.
In their glory years they were the mightiest cutlery capital of the world and many relocated to the "New World". In some instances were there at the formation of American brands...

This beat down old scatted bone penknife is by R Roberts and the better part of 200 yrs old. He packed his bag to the States leaving behind the unfair business practices of the landed gentry and help form what would become Schrade Walden. It's possibly my fave knife and yes I use the hell out of it.

Poncho now I'm gona have to track down the kick too  :woohoo:
Steve C has some beautiful examples of early Walden iirc?

Kicks aren't ridiculously priced but the clip that goes on it as a separate accessory is another ball game :ahhh

Sometimes you can find a reasonably priced Kick with the clip already on for way cheaper than some are asking for the clip only :o

Good luck in the search :salute: :like:

So the clip is unobtainium! I'm not a clip user but couldn't bring myself to remove it off the Sideclip, as well, the name and I keep a mini bit under it :gimme:
Now that I'm looking at the blast it's kinda like a kick with ehhh more kick. Should I go for the blast...  :-\

Steve I shall deffo head over to that thread, the last couple pages alone has stuff I really dig. I'm a huge admirer of the pick bone and peach seed finish the early US cutlery houses gave their scales, big spear points with lovely swedges and long pulls too. You guys kinda brought that game along more so than Sheffield, at least to my eye.
Sorry for rambling on here about it all

Awesome knife. I learned of Yorkshire tea from Jack Black in the Guardians of the Lambsfoot thread over at BF. Walden New York was once known as "Little Sheffield of America" as there were so many cutlers from Sheffield living and working in the Cutlery Companies there and at the other Cutlery Companies in the surrounding towns.

Should I go for the blast...  :-\
If only you were closer than the emerald isle, I have a cabelas blast that I'd like to be rid of as it's a duplicate of another blast that I have.

Joining the crew here with a new to me sideclip I picked up for $45

And I learned something from Steve about what the cutout in the side is for, the older bit kit

And here's most of my inside opening tools, a sideclip in the first row a kick with clip in the second as well as a clipped crunch, the reason why the kick clips are in short supply.
