So, with the ammended number of tools, I cannot get all of them into the smaller case. I did get most in though, but do not like the way it looks. Will see if I can make some shelves for the bigger case tomorrow.  :ahhh

Also, this has shown, since I have to make shelves for the other case, they need to be at an angle with a lip towards the front to better display some of the tools that won't reliably sit on their sides. :ahhh

So here is the case that will need to be used. It has a much higher capacity. Internal size of 12.25" wide, 21.25" tall and 2.50" deep. There is room for 8 or 9 shelves separated sufficiently, depending on shelf material.

The smaller case shown earlier is only internally 11.50" wide, 13.50" tall, and 2.0" deep. :ahhh

It'd be perfect if there is some kind of label under each tool, detailing the name and the year it came out.

Hmmmm...

You know what I would do. Buy myself those rare earth magnets...lay everything out, and glue them to the back. Attach tools via magnets. They would look like they are floating in space. Affix labels under each.

I have a Leatherman display, and I can say that those powerful rare earth magnets are up to the task of holding multi-tools in place. This way...no messing around with shelves, and would afford you a much better view.

Just a thought.
A little Leatherman information.

That is a very good idea, Chako! Thank you! :salute:
Not sure my furniture-repair/cabinet making brain will let me go that route, but it would be much simpler and more elegant.  :)

May end up using the small case for keychain tools, if there is ample wall space left. :)
