Day 21:

Started the day off going to feed the dogs, only to realize we are out of dog food. So out came the Explorer to cut up some smoked sausages for the dogs.

Turns out that’s all the use it will get today. Got out of bed to get ready for work a few minutes ago and my sciatica is in overdrive!  Not going to work tonight. Glad I worked that 1.5 hours overtime last night!

So I’m laying on the couch, trying to alleviate the pain by stuffing pillows in different spots and stretching.

Every few years this happens. Last three or four weeks, then goes away.  Doc says I have degenerative disk problem and not much can be done.

Price I pay for a wild life when I was younger. LOL

Day: 21

A great walk today. Hot, but dry.  Most of the animals were bedded down, but I had a close encounter with a curious deer and a wary chipmunk. A red tail hawk soared over head and monitored my progress.

A nice day then! Cool.

Looks like a great day in the challenge.
ZRXOA1 Keep your spirrits up.  Being imobilized by a degenerative disk is no fun, I too battle the same issue from time to time.  I'll keep the prayers going.
Not any challenge action today, just a lot of challenges.  I'm glad this one is over...I hope...

Unfortunately with degenerative disk its going to hit who it is going to hit based on genetics.  So you should look at it more as at least you had fun and enjoyed life when you could and continue to do it when you can.

It or arthritis has impacted every female on my Mom’s side by age 35.  For me it started in my neck at 30 and gotten worse since.  The most relief I have actually found started early this year when a doctor recommended I try Cymbalta (yeah, who would have guessed the anti-depressant works for some people on chronic pain).

Day 21; used the scissors to cut baler twine off a new bag of feed corn from the Southern States.

Also, more mag lens fun. Lesney, with the old Matchboxes, knew how to cast very fine details. I didn't even know this Ferrari Berlinette had the Prancing Horse in the grille until looking at it with the mag lens.

It is a KONG Jump N Jack.  It is reserved for whenever my dog is going to be left alone.  I cut up some slices of his favorite treat and put them in a few of the ridge spaces.  He gets so excited for it that it helps decrease the anxiety of being left alone.  It has been a routine since he was a puppy.  Cheese, peanut butter or some other paste type food could also be used, that would occupy the dog for longer due to being harder to remove.

August 22 - at work, the Explorer is patiently waiting to be but to work today. I have plans to do some work on my lawn this evening and am sure the knife will have work to do.
Cheers!
