Day 30 - No better way to enjoy a Month on MTo than to participate in a challenge.

About 2 years ago I never owned a 112, had a few BBW and other Bantams, and a 110 for the 1st April Fools challenge. Loved the lock back design!

Great challenge, well done everyone who joined as well as those who cheered by the side   :hatsoff:

Day 30

It's been a good challenge. I meant to get a Buck 112 Ranger a number of years ago but couldnt find a old one at a price I liked. And now there sellling for about half of that at the auction place. This challenge got me focused again. I started out with one and ended up with seven. The Ranger has won my respect and will certainly get steady use in the days ahead. Thank you to everyone for a great Ranger Challenge!     :tu:

Nice assortment David.

@Steve - Your finger groove Ranger is yet the prettiest 112 in this challenge.

Did we forget to request a 112 badge?

We had enough participants! With a few to make their 30th contribution and Spartan19 a couple more days.

Great time and interesting how the 112 Slim Select adoptions occurred.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

We did request that a badge be created. I'm not sure where we are in that process; standby........  ;)

Day 30; Really the Ranger challenge was my introduction to the 112. I have had a 112 for two years, but was too beat up to really use. I have to admit--the 112 is big, but not ridiculously big. While both the 110 and 112 are legal in my state and locality, on some college campuses, the 110 is too big (believe it or not, the one college I went to had a generous 4" limit!) but the 112 is OK.

Hopefully, by this time next month, my '74-80 (which will, depending on the blade Buck puts in there, will become anything between a 2018-2020) and I can give the ebony/brass traditional 112 a spin.

David, that's an awesome collection!

Thanks Ray  :tu:

Thanks Steve, that's good to know :tu:

I have had one eye open for a fully serrated blade for a while now and i see in the pamphlet an R11, two bladed thing that seems to have a serrated blade alongside a normal blade, i think that would be perfect for me  so i'm going to start looking for one, relieved  to hear Remington don't carry huge price tags  :tu:

 :hatsoff:

Day 30  I had a feeling before the challenge i will really like this knife and it didn't disappoint  :tu:

Day 31:

Ah...the Ranger just slipped naturally back into my pocket this morning. And why not?  :dunno:

My favorite UPS driver brought me a box; the Ranger liberated a fresh supply of dried chiles.  Yeeeeeeeehaw!   :ahhh
