A little weekend maintenance
on: June 30, 2019, 12:30:51 AM
Well I had a little time to myself this afternoon.  Decided to do a little work on some user knives I acquired a little while ago.  They all got a bath and some oil.
This Gardener had a broken tip.

I got a chance to try out a belt sander handed down to me from my wife's grandfathers estate.   It turned out nicely I think.

This Case was in pretty good shape but I thought I'd try out this Puma metal polish my dad brought me from France.  It worked great and did shine it up even more.  :tu:

I also had this Camo Tinker that need a good cleaning.  Even with oil, the cap lifter is still a little sluggish on the close but it's much improved.  All three got tuned up on the Sharpmaker and strop.

Anyway, I got a little tool tune up therapy today and wanted to share.  Thanks for looking.

Nice work all around.  I too find tuning up my knives on the SharpMaker to be therapeutic.

Same here, but how I wish someday I could do it without even looking at the stones.

Nice work on the SAK blade.  I find it very relaxing to do this type work on knives I get from the flea market.

Thank you all for the comments.  My skills at working on tools are minimal so I love it when I get my hands on some beat up blades on the cheap to practice with.
