I've seen mention of these drug subs but it's just crazy to see the video!

As somebody pointed out, that coast guard could've easily drowned........I'm sure they have something in their vast arsenal that could blow a little sub like that out of the water..... :twak:

The Coast Guard definitely has had their hands full with the drug sub situation. Hats off to them. :hatsoff:


Though, truth be told, the Central and South American cartels have been using them for some time. I watched a special several years ago about it. The boats are calculated to where only a small part of the deck, with a window, is above water. The drug runners and drugs are then dropped off in the U.S. with the runners(drug gang members) and drugs being dispersed wherever and the boat sank out at sea. The runners then purposefully get themselves caught and deported to do it all over again.
The cartels also employ underground railways to do pretty much the same thing, except those can be used until the authorities discover them. Then the drug cronies hire Mexican tunnel diggers(who moonlight) to make more.
And of course, there are multitudes of smugglers coming by airplane via commercial airlines.

Not sure what this says...but the current Canadian Government legalized marijuana last summer. Folks were saying people would be driving high and killing folks, our productivity would go down due to stoners, etc. I must say, I haven't seen one thing different in my city which tells you that most folks who are doing it were doing it already illegally. Haven't seen a spike in users, problems, etc.  In fact, the only news we get from this is how the Provincial Governments are bungling the where and how you can buy the stuff.

I am not sure people who have never did drugs would try them just because they become legal.  I don't drink even tho its legal to do so, same with smoking tobacco and pot.  Those who do these drugs have always found a way and will continue to do so.  I don't know what the answer is in terms of legalizing or not  :dunno:.  Bigger question is how much has legalizing pot hurt the illegal side of it?

So you can choose between things like working, voting, driving...........or.....getting high.

The money from the "war on drugs" could supply the social grants as well as fee drugs for all those who want it.

These are not theories, I'm not 100% sure but isn't it Norway and Portugal that have similar systems in place?

Simple logic, legalizing would as a start cut street prices to the point where it's no longer worthwhile for the cartels.

The "war on drugs" has as little to do with drugs as the other wars have to do with "freedom"  :salute:
