way back in the 80's,Roger Moore as James Bond wore a Rolex Sub,i forget the movie,i remember a trapdoor bridge giving way and a hapless victim falling into into a pool of piranhas.
007 always had cool gadgets and gear, but i was taken by his watch, which started my affinity for diver's watches.
my first diver's style watch was a Casio analog [Dec 88],with a digital window at the 3 o'clock position. that 1 died on me eventually.
it was around this time that i saw an ad for Citizen Promaster diver's on the back cover of National Geographic, and so i was taken in another direction.
i acquired my first Citizen Promaster [Quartz] in 93 or 94 [thats at the watchmaker].its pretty banged up but still works. i got the second, which is quite similar to the first 10 or 12 years ago,and this is my current edc,i just love the look of it.
over time i bought an EcoZilla [at the same watchmaker for a battery change],and a Pulsar auto,my 1st auto.
along the way a friend gifted me numerous pieces, some of which i passed on to my son,and other family and friends.
those now form the bulk of my collection.
there a few microbrands,i think these are cool,well-made,and functional. some people hate the Courgeot Black Bay "homage",i think it's a cool watch.
in the pic,in no particular order -
Citizen Promaster Quartz
Courgeot BB
Aragon NH35 [[i forget the model]
Seiko 5
Seiko black monster
Seiko orange monster
Maranez Kata
i still dig the Sub,but its a "one day, some day" at this point
thanks for looking

Nice varied selection of divers, Humayd!
I really like the rugged nature and "check it out style" of divers.

Nice collection!
I only own a couple of watches, but am a big fan of divers as well. A good quality all-SS diving watch on a solid bracelet is probably about as close to indestructible as a watch can get, the time is easy to read at a glance (even in darkness), and it can be worn with anything from a swimsuit to a three-piece suit.

I am a fan of diver watches as well. Love the comfort of knowing your watch will survive all water encounters. Seeing as I don't dive, or snorkel, etc...a watch rated for such activities is overkill when washing your hands. Just gives you peace of mind all around.

Love that Orange Monster!
I got one because of Dirk Pitt, the hero of the Clive Cussler novels. Dirk always wore an orange Doxa dive watch, and I wanted one too- right up until I saw the price!
The Seiko Orange Monster was nice enough to scratch that itch for a much more reasonable price!

There's actually another odd twist to the story- after looking at Orange Monsters for a while I actually became partial to the Black Monster and felt the orange version was a bit too flashy for me. Then I found a deal on a used orange one that I couldn't pass up, so I snagged it. I had buyer's remorse for a while until it arrived, at which point I decided that it was the watch for me and I was glad I didn't wait for a black one!

i initially had only the black, and when i received the orange, thought it might be too flashy,as well.
it grew on me,and i'm quite fond of it.
i realized that my son did not have a 200m diver's,so i gave him 1 [he chose the black].
i also gave him the newer citizen quartz.
made his day
