Sidewinder Safety Knife.
on: July 26, 2019, 04:26:45 AM
After the post on the 5+11 EMT tool, I just thought of one I've been meaning to pick up; the First Tactical Sidewinder Safety Knife.  I can't drop $100 and something on a Benchmade Triage but really like the design.  At $35 through a police supply place, this knife falls into the reasonable category. Specs seem good, with AUS-8 steel. It has a thumb bar/"Cobra Hood" opening aid (meaning good with gloves), and FRN scales. I also like the blade shape on this knife. And the day-glow yellow scales should make it pretty easy to find.

Personally, the only things I'm not sold on are the glass breaker (can snag on things and could poke me when making certain cuts) and clip (in my experience with the SOG Kilowatt, skeletonized/cutout clips bend easily). But I really do like the blade shape.
