This past weekend I made some stacking trays in which to hold my Alox SAKs.   It was the major shopping holiday weekend in the US and I didn't feel like leaving home and participating in the Black Friday retail madness, so I committed to only using materials that I already had on hand.   Phase 2 will be to build a small cabinet to house the trays, because although stacking trays are both handy and clever, it's a drag not being able to just slide out a drawer and find what you need.

The bottoms of the trays have these little feet, which nest in the corners of the tray below it when they are stacked.

Stacked all together, they look like this:

This tray is for Cadets And Their Ilk, and also includes my kiddo's growing collection:

This tray is for Pioneers And Their Ilk:

This tray is for Model 1961 Soldiers And Their Ilk:

The new trays for the Alox SAKs relieve the pressure on my Gerstner cabinet, which was overflowing.  The Gerstner now holds only Cellidor-scaled SAKs, and will also house my modding supplies when I get a little more time.

I feel your pain.

In my own case the Alox knives have kicked my cellidor knives (except for my Golfers) out of my Gerstner chest and into Plano boxes.

  :dunno:

I started again on another storage box like I did for my GERBER's (first pic).
I started this time with the same box from the Polish army, stripped it , sanded the box, painted it and made the interior.
This one will be for Vic or Wenger , have not decided yet but the color for both is red and white.
Here the first pics.  :hatsoff:

How do you store your SAK's ?

When not in use or if backups, throw them in a drawer, close the drawer...
Sak's stored.  :hatsoff:
