Did Leatherman ever make a Titanium Charge with 2 Bit Drivers?

Hey guys,

I recently picked up a titanium Charge via a TSA auction and when I opened it up I found a bit of a surprise, instead of the normal tool load out it had two bit drivers. To be more specific, it has two bit drivers, the small glasses driver, and the can opener/wire stripper tool. It's an early model with "pat pending" stamped onto the steel chassis of the handles and was made in 2004. I'm wondering if this tools is stock from a time when Charges didn't have the internal tool set up they do now, or if I purchased somebodies modded tool. I know the black handled Charge ALX series had double bit drivers, but I never saw a titanium Charge with the dual drivers. If you have any knowledge on this subject I'd be thankful for your input. Thanks for the help.

It depend really. I think a XTI shouldn't be made in 2004. 2004 was the year the first TI was released. Does it have the CC on the pliers, serrated blade with gut hook? So.. I think a XTI shouldnt carry the "Patent Pending" stamp... From my understanding of course. I could be wrong.

Pic from a former challenge. As stated there, date codes 04/04.
Cant remember any pat pending stamp.
CC, hook on serrated blade (can be seen by outline of blade, hook is slightly visible)

Then I could be wrong.  but in any case LM is known to be using older/stock parts for repairs. So the dates could very well be jumbled up.
