I like it! G-10 is grippy; and the orange color idiot-proof. Plus, unlike Cerakote, G-10 will not wear off. It's actual handle slabs, not an over-glorified paint. Cost though--maybe it will be on sale for $120 or so approaching (and especially after) Christmas.  I'll probably look at buying one come January. What I got for birthday and Christmas, plus Christmas sales should put it in my affordable range.

Finally Leatherman give in the scale variety thing. Those scales should be grippy and quite comfy to use with the anso pattern. I will not be surprised if they offer CF scales soon.

That’s a handsome multitool and is not overpriced compared to what you would pay for a charge in the UK. 
Shame they don’t ship to the uk or I would defiantly be looking to buy one in the not to distant future.

My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

But isn't aluminium or titanium more durable and also adds to the overall stability of the Charge frame?  :think:

Quite a nice deal if you ask me.

A Charge+ TTI is $260 and the alu scaled one is $190 here. So if I had the choice, the G10 one would be my pick. Cheapest and different to say the least!

How does the Cabela's versions actually work? Do they build the scales or are they special runs from LM for Cabela's?

"Main frame constructed from stainless steel"
So I guess there are stainless liners under the scales.

They are special runs by LM for Cabela’s. In LM clamshells with Cabela usually imprinted on the knife blade.

If memory serves me correctly, Cabela’s was the first customer Tim Leatherman received a PO from for his PST MT.  So a strong bond between the 2 firms.

Wow, Red G10 for $170 from REI.  The same price as a TTI.

Cabela’s asking $10 more for same G10 scale pattern but in ORANGE.

Looked at my BO Charge + this morning and realized it is pretty but “not a user for me.” Now have to keep repeating that over and over each time tempted by the pretty scales.
Tempted till price comes down, down, down.

Available over here for 250 Euro (around $275)  ::).

The great deal I got on the two BO Charge +  I got from ebay U.S.A. (thanks to Steve for the heads up, and gustophersmob for helping me get two of them overseas  :hatsoff:) at around 100 Euro/piece (this is shipping, customfee and import taxes included) just got even more impressive as it already was  :D.

There's one already on eBay at a lower price. Not mine and I have absolutely no affiliation with the seller. It looks nice but for the price, I rather have the Ti scales. The orange scales makes it look like the orange Juice S2 on steroid.

Looking at both multi-tools side by side, I rather spend less $ and get the one with the TI scales, but I guess for those who like G10 material and the pliers head without cap crimper, the almost $200 Cabela's orange Charge is the perfect tool :tu:  The pliers head on the TI can always be replaced.

I posted a photo from the blog Gear Junkie. The Wave/Charge configuration doesn't interest me to use personally let alone buy a special edition. Now if they made it with outside opening scissors and blue g10....
