I just saw this from Cases.  I really like a few of those cover materials.  The Sycamore is gorgeous as is the Abalone.

Thanks for sharing the video.

The sycamore does look nice.  I wonder if it is stabilized?

I’m excited to see some micarta in the 2021 lineup.  I know it’s not a “traditional” handle material, but it’s hard to beat for a working knife, and it looks good too.  One of those large stockmans (stockmen?) in black micarta will probably have to come to my house to stay.

I’m also interested to see the Panama coming out again.  Basically a two-blade version of the Backpocket, though referred to by some as a trapper variant.  A bit on the large side for daily carry, but I might have to snag one of those as well.

Finally, the Case rep dropped a few interesting nuggets:  their best-selling model is apparently the medium stockman in yellow composition and CV, while the best-selling pattern is the trapper.

Cant wait to see their new blades.

They remake their Copperhead, so basically a large Peanut.  :ahhh

Will for sure buy one (and one spare, and a spare spare one...  :twak:)

Case pattern no. 18 (one of multiple patterns referred to as a medium stockman) in blue G-10.

In person, it's quite a bright blue; I think it would be easy to find if dropped.  While not a traditional look, the G-10 should of course hold up very well for a user.  Rounded bolsters (as all pocketknives, frankly, should have).  I'm always a sucker for nickel silver pins, liners, and bolsters; I think they're so much better than brass.  3 5/8" closed length is, for me, in that sweet spot that balances ease of use with ease of carry.

The sheepsfoot blade sits quite proud of the rest of the knife when closed.  I could file the kick to drop it down some, but I actually kind of like being able to pinch it open.  There's a bit of blade rub between the sheepsfoot and spey blades, but that doesn't really matter for a user.

One thing I've never understood about this pattern, though, is why it has such a thin and weak-looking main clip blade.  This could be beefed up significantly without sacrificing, well, anything.  Fingers crossed Case may some day offer a 47 pattern (the best of the medium stockman patterns, IMO) in this blue G-10 line...

:dd: puurdy.  While I am a sucker for material like stag and bone I really like seeing trads with other cover materials.  I also like seeing them with colors.

Case!   Case!   Case!   Yea!

Good show men.

This is one of several three blade Case Trappers that I've collected over the years.

It's a Hunter/Trapper with peach-seed jigged bone handles.
