Given that the Nomad Family is a pack of loveless smurfs, we have to buy our own presents (on the up side, we all get exactly what we want!)

I'm thinking of getting a Kayak, but I might save up to send myself on holidays instead.

TBH, this Christmas wasn't nearly as good as last years.. I got an excellent gift last year, but this year I got a nice handgun.. A Taurus 24/7, which is a decent gun.. I am going to the gun range tomorrow to test it out... The one thing that is interesting with this gun is that if it misfires, than this strike two capability resets the trigger for a double action re strike- then you just pull the trigger..

I keep thinking I didn't get much for Christmas this year, until I remember that my wife and I bought ourselves a new TV a couple of weeks back.   ::)

Lol. I watch that program more for the presenters than the subject matter to be honest. Never seen the Oz version though!

Do not bother trying to track down the Aussie version Dave they tried to copy the original & manufacture the chemistry the original has , was always doomed to fail. The banter between the presenters & the crazy stunts they do is why I like the original.

I looked at the Garmin range myself, and I've only heard good things about the durability and accuracy of their gear in general Raptorman. My Dad does a lot of climbing (well more hill walking these days since he retired) and he insists that Garmin is the best value for money kit out there.

I actually elected for a NavMan S100 myself, but mostly because of the software, it's a little more advanced than Garmin's in-car systems and Tom Tom at the moment, although you would expect that won't be for long. Mine is for route-planning only and the software and 3D buildings stuff on the NavMan swung it for me.

I used to come here a lot.
