Especially when you factor the models that never were actually produced in number; apparently only in samples and for contracts. They've found their way into civilian hands by way of second/overrun lots.  I kinda like the ones with strap cutters (in place of can opener) and tanto blades  but with mine, it was supposedly part of a contract made for an "overseas contract" as per a Utica Kutmaster rep. While it wore off with no effort (literally with nothing more than Palmolive and a toothbrush); I noticed some kind of rather Commonwealth looking cap badge VERY lightly printed or etched onto mine.

It seems none of the cutlery companies do a great job with their multi tools. Marbles’ fishing pliers is another design with a lot of flaws and problems. I bought three and only got one good one out of the bunch.  And it could really use an update with a longer Phillips screwdriver and a hook sharpener/diamond file.

Charles.
