Gath, it is indeed lovely, as is Finland, but I’m actually British, and my reason for being in Tallinn was to set up the British Embassy there after the collapse of the former Soviet Union, then I went on to do the same in Tashkent, then 3 years in Moscow setting up further Embassies in Tbilisi, Yerevan, and Ashgabat, before going back to Tashkent.... I still remember the ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki and a burst of prosperity - first time I had to us3va credit card in a pub (the Guinness bar in Helsinki) as I didn’t have enough Finnmarks to cover the bill! :cheers:

Gath, no worries! I’m very much a former diplomat, and one that has a soft spot for Finland and Estonia - always nice to come across non-Indo-European cultures and languages (my post grad was in Euskera/Basque)....
