I think the thing that puts me off plastic the most is that it's somewhere for moisture to collect and turn to rust (regardless of the manufacturer!)
That being said however, why is it that Leatherman is thought poorly of for using plastic in non-load-bearing areas, but Victorinox and Wenger are not criticized for having plastic scales on their SAK's? What is the difference? Huh
