Scary isn't it :-\

No wonder the high street's going to the wall, when the stupid importers/goverment won't let the shop's sell good's at a sensible price ::)

Glad I could help.  There was a thread over on SOSAK a little while ago and it seems that SAKs aren't top of their selling list.  I can't now remember who it was who had been, but the store didn't have any Cadets (of any colour) and the assistant hadn't heard of them when he asked if they could get them in.  I'll maybe have a look back and see if I can find the thread.

I got this one entirely by accident.  A guy put it on eBay with a BIN that seemed plausible but possibly a bit too good to be true for a 4GB Vic. stick.  Totally out of focus photo of the packaged box.
I took a risk and went for it.  I was well chuffed when it arrived within two days and was brand new boxed real deal (back of my mind I was worried it was going to be fake).  Then I saw the scales  :D

A couple of the collectors on SOSAK were interested to find out if they did a Classic or something a bit cheaper with the scales on so I rang the store and asked.  Not a clue, I was put through to the right department where they happily reeled off the memory sizes available etc. but seemed to have no idea what I was talking about when I enquired about ones with a map on the scales showing their location.  ???

I'm beginning to wonder if perhaps it was a promotional item given out to media bods or the like prior to the store opening  I'd love to know.

That's probably the most likely explanation :)

I'm hoping to go there at some point this year, so if I remember I'll ask :)
