So, I was impressed enough with the 110 Pro and its performance during the course of this challenge that I decided to pick up a 110 Slim Pro...

Ooooh.....how do you like it?

I've been carrying it since it arrived, and so far I love it!

It has all the cutting power (and of course the S30V steel) of the regular 110 Pro, at less than half the weight.  The textured G-10 handle provides a good grip, in spite of the fact that, true to its name, the handle is much slimmer than the standard 110.  I was a little concerned that, with no liners, there might be some flex in the handle, but it seems rock solid.

The pocket clip is nice touch (though I had to loosen it up a bit for my taste), and the 110 Slim Pro carries well clipped to a pocket.  The two screws that hold the pocket clip on go completely through the knife.

The overall length of the blade and length of cutting edge appear identical.  The clip portion of the blade on the Slim Pro is longer than the regular 110, but not as deep.  Both knives have a useful point, though based purely on geometry it actually looks like the point on the Slim may be stronger than the original.

I appreciate the thumb stud, and it can be successfully used to open the knife one-handed.  However, OHO is an area where I wish Buck would have put in a bit more effort.  My 110 Slim Pro started out very stiff and difficult to open one-handed.  It has loosened up slightly, and I hope it will continue to do so.  But some extra time polishing/fine-tuning or a minor design change could have made this a lot smoother.

It is insanely nice ,  the scales are beautiful and the fit and finish is superb. The engraving just makes it even more special.

I was off today and planned to go for a walk along a quiet stretch of river and what better companion then the Fools of April 110.

I’d just like to thank Nix for this really special 110   :salute: and all you guys who took part in this challenge  :tu:

You are the most deserving just because.

Great pictures and be careful around those Swans, they can be real mean during mating and with active nest!

I'm looking forward to some shots where the bolsters are a bit scratched and tarnished and the blade is showing some signs of use.

Nothing becomes a Buck 110 like some signs of use, love, and age  :tu:.

That’s funny as I was just thinking about this. Do I use it or keep it as a drawer queen. I think i will use it 😀 it’s been a long time since I had a S30v blade and it would be a shame to let it sit idle. I’ve also got one of the brown USA sheaths which I think I’ll use with it 😁
