Soldier 30 Day Challenge

I was looking at the awards, looking for a Soldier Challenge and there isn’t one listed.
I would like to start one up for November, as it is the month the world honors all military veterans who have served.
I was thinking for this challenge both Victorinox and Wenger’s Soldier pocket knives would be eligible. From the first to the current Soldier models.
Anybody else interested in this challenge?
Rules ;
Normal photo for each day
Not limited to just one if you have others you would like to share, you can.

Ray, I'm definitely interested but I thought that was the month the Minimal Challenge was scheduled for.

Rapy, just a thought, but why don't you do an in challenge challenge - soldiers being two layer jobbies, they fit comfortably within the parameters of Saucey's Minimal Challenge?  :think: Subject to her approval of course.  :tu:

That is interesting. So sort of like when we had the Traditional challenge with the GEC’s?  The newer Soldiers are 3 layers now.

If the older 2-layer Soldier, then the Soldier challenge and Minimal challenge could both be done in November similar to the Traditional and GEC Challenge being the same earlier this year.  The Soldier has two layers so it would count as a Minimal SAK.  All Soldier participants could just specify that they were doing the Soldier.  Then if a Soldier badge is developed, they would apply for it.  If no soldier badge is designed, then they would still qualify for the Minimal SAK Challenge Badge.  How does that sound?

Another thought was May might be a good month, because in the US it is Military Appreciation Month.  Although I think there was a Spyderco Challenge being planned for May and I don’t know if the interest would be many of the same people.

The Soldier challenge and Minimal challenge could both be done in November similar to the Traditional and GEC Challenge being the same earlier this year.  The Soldier has two layers so it would count as a Minimal SAK.  All Soldier participants could just specify that they were doing the Soldier.  Then if a Soldier badge is developed, they would apply for it.  If no soldier badge is designed, then they would still qualify for the Minimal SAK Challenge Badge.  How does that sound?

Another thought was May might be a good month, because in the US it is Military Appreciation Month.  Although I think there was a Spyderco Challenge being planned for May and I don’t know if the interest would be many of the same people.
That sounds great. Thank you so much! So the only difference would be on the newer Soldier models with 3 layers. As it is the current Soldier would it still be allowed?
