Hoping to get this printed in steel once I nail the smaller details but it seems to work. Thankfully left and right handed holders are just a direct mirror image because scalpels are basically flat.


Fitted into a Wave handle for now, just out of my spare parts bin.

Metro, amazing as always! Now I can have a "bladeless" Wave, an can carry it everywhere.
Any idea when will they be avaible "to the public", and from where? Kudos to you, Sir, for your creativity and ingenuity.

I am currently working on putting a #4 scalpel on a MT and it is driving me crazy because all the scalpel handles i can find are not wide enough to work with the liner lock  :rant:

This idea would make life so much easier for people living in or travelling to places that don't permit bladed tool carry.

Order has been placed! I tidied up some details; refined a trapezoidal thumb stud, holes and traps for the blade locks when the pliers are open, some corner chamfers and radii.


Next up will be designing a No. 4 holder for a Surge, obviously.


Actually, no, next up will be acquiring some Piranta blades to make sure they fit, the Wiebe blades I have fit great as does standard No 4 fitting scalpel blades.
