Before I got the surge, I was putting laminate floors in a rm of my house. On the last row, you are against the wall. You have to lift the planks and pull them back to interlock them. The only tool I could think of that would possibly work, was the gut hook on the charge that was on my hip. It was a life saver. I knew when I bought the surge, I would have to mod it. It's awesome now.
I am a big fan of BO tools and DLC coated knives, I even prefer the less hard wearing coatings like on my all black tenacious over shiny steel.I like tools that show honest wear. It baffles me when on occasion I have read reviews for BO tools and coated blades where people put showing honest wear as a con of said tools, for me it’s a definite pro
Beg your pardon, Im a low-brow knuckle dragger, whats DLC?
“Diamond Like Carbon” coating
Aaaahhhhh..... What’s that?Dumb it down for me? Or better yet how about a picture!!
its a very hard coating that some knife makers coat blades with.here it is on my benchmade proper, I also have a couple of spyderco pm2 with dlc coated blades(Image removed from quote.)
I have a black oxide Leatherman OHT and Gerber MP600, but I prefer a brighter stainless steel finish instead. The black color makes it more difficult to locate the blade I want when in low light conditions.
I have read people complain that it marks to easy, but others say the mark on the blade is what ever you cut and with a good scrub the blade comes up clean again.here Is one of my spydercos that is still like new as I have not pressed it in to service yet, but when I do the blade marking will not bother me in the slightest.(Image removed from quote.)
I love the look of any SHINY SS MTI love the smooooothnes of highly polished SS!
BO never did much for me, and I certainly don't need it from a stealth/tactical standpoint, so shiny it is.
Oh, I like that too...
I like both BO and SS tools BO does have an appeal to me though and I have a few
My carry today...
A great carry there
