I thought that because most of the nation, and the world, is under some kind of health lock-down, that my replacement clips will take a while to get to the Island (and my home). My OCD and having "some time for myself" (not been able to work; school and private O.T. clinics are down), I began looking for an alternative: zip tie (not strong and thin enough to fit); large paper clip wire (not strong enough, and too much friction while deploying, making it cumbersome); wire (same as paper clip, and frayed the sheath). Then it hit me: old, cheap, hacksaw blade!!! I began by tracing my original clip onto the blade's eyelet ( to use as a guide and to not have to drill it). Then started using the cutting disc to have a rough shape. Then, using a grinding stone and a diamond bit, fitted and finished it off. I've made it yesterday, and has been using it and it's been great! So, hope that this tidbit helps someone in the future having a need for a "replacement". Thanks for looking!
Next you'll see some pictures of it; enjoy:
