Gerber Steady - retired or not

Just that really.
Never got round to buying one, but as I seem to use my phone and compact far more than my dslr, I'm toying with the idea of buying one and keeping it in the belt case with the compact. I usually shove an explorer in there along with spare battery and card. But I find I'm missing a small tripod more and more these days, Hence the steady's appeal.

I have not really used mine and can't vouch for how it function as a tripod. But the feeling of the steady is incredibly cheap and plasticky... You might want to look elsewhere..

Update
Managed to find a online seller with discontinued stock - so bought all 4 of them. Chucked in the Gerber box with all my other Gerbers.
