Just received this one from Felinevet exactly as described and lightning-fast.  First impressions: I like the 85mm size, the Phillips driver's position (centered in the handle), the capacity of the pliers, and the nail file.  I'd happily exchange the universal wrench for a magnifier.

I've had an s557 for several months now. Unfortunately it doesn't get much use. I prefer my other Wengers to it.

My S557 is probably my most carried SAK these days. I like its size and tool load.

:tu: Yeah, that! Absolutely must-have piece of Wenger  :salute:
Or, more politely, everyone "needs" a s557

I've got a flashy one. (okay, it's a mod, built from a couple or three donors)

It wears Dynasty scales from a Gawain that had trashed tools.
Surprisingly seeing the anodize is quite delicate, the scales weren't in too bad condition.

In keeping with the knights of the round table theme I've named it Bedivere.

I take back saying I don't use it much, now I love my s557. This thread needs more publicity for being wenger's flagship model.

Dammit Peter.  You will make me buy a 557 or S557 (they seem to be about the same price right now on Amazon) just to do the scale swap.  Then I need to sacrifice a Dynasty!  Grrrr.

Does anyone know if Late era Wenger scales fit on the new Delemont models?

wow, folks, I'm really envious   :o
I searched for years, and finally found one, I knew it'd be my perfect EDC. It was, I carried and loved it every day, and since it was always on me it was the SAK they confiscated and took from me when I entered the hospital this past August.   :(

It was my true favorite. This is its last pic

I'll message my contact before my next visit, asking for another one + pricing.
If she still has one, I'll pm you the price and you can tell me if it's a go for you.

Keep in mind that it might take 1-2months before I revisit her though...

Finally got to use that universal wrench on the EvoWood S557 to tighten the antenna couplers for a Asus PCE-AC88 WiFi card. Really good WiFi card I will have to say! Still using Windows 7 and there are drivers for it - and Windows 10 if I ever get a newer machine.
Wrench was not a tight enough fit for me, so straddled the nut to tighten. Did not want to go hunting for a wrench. It worked though!

That Wrench is the most unused item next to the pliers. Like the wood feel, but I do not use the knife very much. I should of opted for a different EvoWood multi-knife, although was hoping the wrench was 3/8 inch on the end. At the time there was zero documentation on the universal wrench sizing.
