New for 2020 - Victorinox Nail Clip colours

In 2020, the nail clip will come in the following new colours/patterns.
Black, white, Edelweiss, and camo.

Actually, this model was presented in new colors in 2019 and it was available in 6 colors, not only 4.

Here, in Ukraine, these models were available in stores from november 2019, if I'm not mistaken

I suppose many things are released earlier in Europe...
 

they mentioned that the fixed blades have been around for a while.   :dunno:

So it looks like Vic are still committed at least to the former Wenger NailClip.

I know many here were skeptical of how long the Wenger Delemont models would survive once Vic merged the product lines

Any hints on this from the SHOT show Megan

We have not seen a new catalogue for a while from Vic - But they still seem very prevalent on the website

If the no. of reviews is a reliable indicator of sales, the NailClip is the third biggest seller on Amazon, not far behind the Tinker. Both miles behind the Classic, though!

Also an interesting observation, maybe more representative of international online sales. The Amazon stats I found are likely more North American focused. Also I found the figures the long way by looking for reviews for individual models, but there are other Amazon measures that disagree, hmmm.

Here are the top five based on Amazon.com reviews, from my working as of a couple of weeks ago:
Classic SD: 7776
Tinker: 1998
Nail Clip 580: 1710
Huntsman: 1294
Swisschamp: 1248
Fieldmaster: 841

The Spartan's way down there with 417 reviews, fewer than the Cadet with 541.

Other thing is that these figures may be well different from brick & mortar sales. Here in NZ, I seem to see more Spartans than anything else.

It's interesting that the Huntsman is so popular.  I feel like it took me 30 years of being a SAK nut to determine that it's my sweet spot for the most implements before I need to get my suspenders on.

Lol! Yeah, from what I’ve observed on this forum four layers are as much as many users like to carry. That’s too bulky for pocket carry for me, so away from work I carry nothing thicker than a Camper, more usually a Tourist. Scissors covered by a keyring Rambler.

I have to say I find the Nail Clip's colour selection a bit boring. Wenger used to put coloured transparent scales on them. Last time I was at a local outdoors store there was a "sapphire" Nail Clip in the cabinet. Truly beautiful. But for $10 more I could buy a Fieldmaster instead.  :P
