Hi from Canada!
on: January 25, 2020, 04:58:57 PM
Hello everyone,

My name is Scott a 25 year old millwright mechanic from Canada. I am by trade a mechanically inclined individual, also by hobby. I’ve always had multi tools growing up. Never any good ones though always the cheap Chinese ones. They got me by my teenage years. When I got into my early twenties I realized I wanted to become a tradesmen and that’s when my love with all things mechanical took me to new places. 4 years went by and then.

About a year ago I realized something was missing at work. I always carry a pair of 430 channel locks and a 10” adjustable wrench with me on calls but needed something that had more tools since I was a mobile mechanic. I added the leatherman surge right off the hop because of how heavy the use it sees in my job. It allowed me to head to most calls and fix them without going back to grab my real tools from the truck.

In December I found this forum and realized there are other people that have a hobby of collecting, modifying and using multi tools. Awesome, I hope to add useful information and in turn gain some.

I’ve currently got a Center drive, Mp600, suspension, LM surge and LM Sidekick. I have modified the mp600 and it’s currently my perfect one to carry.

Always on the lookout to swap parts, or even full tools with fellow members.

Ps. I still don’t get how to upload photos!

Scott

Hello and welcome to the forum !

The easiest way is to host them on a picture hosting site like imgur

or  you can attach them but they have to be resized to no more than 512kb

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

What part of Ontario are you in?  I am in Halifax, but I also have a place in Ottawa.  My family is scattered around Northern Ontario, mostly between Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie, but I've also lived in Barrie, Toronto and London.

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome SA!  :salute:

I'm at the opposite end of the continent (SE Florida) but my parents moved here early 1950's from Canada and stayed but never became US citizens so I claim I am 1/2 Canadian, eh?
