A couple years back I bought an orange cadet 53048 and it had the note (attached)  in the box with it. Is this knife worth much?

The little note is definitely not from the factory, and is probably just a nice touch from a previous eBay seller.  Seems like these orange Cadets in conditions like yours (ie, new in box) are fetching in the neighborhood of about $75 USD these days.

Thank you for the information. I bought it at a gun and knife show for $20 and the previous owner created the note. I really had no idea what I bought, other then I carried the silver cadet for 15-20 years for work and loved it.
