Mr. Pinchy got me today.
on: February 04, 2020, 11:28:11 PM
I needed blunt nose pliers to tighten some battery connections so I grabbed Mr. Pinchy. I slipped and got pinched right at the base of my fat finger (see the red spot).  It stings a bit and I'll probably have a bruise, but I'll feel a little better if I get a new badge out of the ordeal.

It really isn't if, but when. Happened to me tightening up a hinge on the barnyard gate.

I had an old French tool called the Seaboard Steel I tried using. Sucker not only pinched, it actually caused a deep cut that bled like crazy and took forever to heal. It is unsafe to use without the spring; as the plier handle, when closed is to lay flush with the handle. The SOG Toolclip definitely improved that design.

Oh boy
One of those type of cuts! Think I would rather get a blade cut than a pinched dull cut. That line from Robin Hood comes to mind...’cut his heart out with a spoon’

I have had my MP since the early 1990's and carried it for many years before I got into multi tools and had a selection to choose from.  I've had little love bites like this several times over the years, I just never had a camera handy until this time. It doesn't only happen with the Gerbers either.

Sometimes fighting (biting), and then reconciling.
You and your Mr. Pinchy will always be great friends!  · (*˘︶˘*).

So true.  :iagree:
And you can only blame yourself for getting bit.
