Why are side clips so expensive?

need a side clip to add to my heap of items and everytime i see a good deal its gone before i can go for it or just too expensive, going rate on bay is around $60 and upppppp?

Just check eBay more often. I recently bought there new in box Sideclip for 34$.
But such listings do not hang for long and you need to catch it until someone gets ahead of you ;)

Supply and demand. Just check eBay. Sometimes, people just won't notice auctions, or someone will just list it super-stupid low. I got a Mini Tool from 1995, complete with sheath for $15 a couple years ago.

my first Sideclip was listed as Silver multitool...got it for $22...I found it by accident while searching for a clip for for a Leatherman Kick.
