I found this ad for the Tough Tool ad and offer in the box of a Schrade USA 104OT in my Granddad's collection. The box had 1998 written on it by Granddad, thus I figure that's what it's dated. It promotes the (then new) Tough Tool, and includes a coupon for $5 off that expired on December 31, 1999.
Anyone know what these number codes mean near the end of the disclaimer? Sheath and packaging variations?
Good info there Cody
I had a look through my ST1s, I have a couple still in their original boxes.
ST1L the "L" seems to mean a Leather sheath (and some of these older leather sheaths were made from thick, robust leather)
A newer (made in China) "ST1NB AUS" N= Nylon Sheath, B = Black handles, AUS = "exclusively made for the Australian Defence Force" (but readily available for purchase by anyone)
I can only speculate on the other 2 suffixes:
CP = Clamshell Package ?
GB = Gift Box (I do have one of these, but no external packaging with it to confirm the "GB")
