That does look great!

My vote is for the excavator as I have a pet excavator myself.

Pet photos!

My pet during some hobby road building some time ago. Isn't it cute? There have been suggestions from some of lesser taste to paint it pink, violet or with rose patterns, but I figure that would be pet abuse..

It has become old enough to legaly drive itself, so tactically it I'm thinking a rust color scheme might be the low maintainance option going forward.

MadP, I don’t mean to interrupt your thread but, my friend got into this hobby of metal model making and I got him into SAK’s. This is his first SAK and metal model (found by himself during current times). I hope you approve my sharing this photo

P.S. I am working on him to join MTO and SAK knighthood.

Oh there’s no interruption it’s a forum, it’s a pic of a metal model which what this subject is about so post, I did that lighthouse myself long ago, it was one of my first ones because of the difficulty level being easy, but I did a little something extra, i temp put a light in it, I even sent the pic into the company and they posted it! If your buddy likes these tell him there’s someone on here that does them and maybe use it to get him to sign up?

Well I actually finished it in one sitting, took 4hrs but just did it all at once,
Here’s what the finished project looks like, the unique thing about this one unlike any of the others I’ve done is, it moves! If you look at the diff pics you’ll notice the tracks are pointed in a diff direction each time, so it swivels!

I love models, I could just work on them all day, I used to do the other ones that you have to glue, those were great  , but my problem was the painting, I suck at it,
Now these yeah you don’t have to paint but they come as the flat sheet and you gotta shape the pieces, so it kinda adds a little more strategy, I’m an ex-plumber but also used to do hvac, and I majored in ductwork, so it kinda feels cool to work with the metal,

I just watched a vid online of a stop motion B17 build that was simply amazing. I remember my B17 had my fingerprints on the windows

I almost killed someone with a boom/arm,
I had to dig a trench for a pipe, my boss said you better start digging and handed me a shovel! I was like OMG, I looked around and saw a case 580 backhoe, I asked him if it worked and if anyone could use it, he said it worked but no one here can operate it, he looks at me and said you a quick learner? Um yeah, you got 5min, if you don’t fig it out, you better start digging faster by hand!
So I played around and fig it out, next thing you know I was digging the trench! Job done,
But I had to move to another job site and he knew I could work it and said to do something, someone was to work with me but the guy was NOT to get in the hole! Well I swung the boom out to drop the load the guy got ready to jump in the hole, I swung back, he jumped in, and I STOPPED! The bucket bounced missing his head by like 6inch! The boss screamed at him! Then came over to me and said you should have kept swinging! Cause no one liked him!
