If that cheat code means anything to you, you are probably a fellow fan of Contra.  One of the best known games on Nintendo and Konami.

Unfortunately, the founder of the game passed away this Wednesday.  Just want to thank him for those endless hours of gameplay:

I did play it a lot during holidays or long vacations, but never did glue myself to the console.  :D

I had one back in the days too!  I think Gameboy was the most successful handheld gaming units of all time, and nothing surpassed that.

Did you have the first version? I started with the see-through edition. Super Mario, Zelda and of course Tetris  :cheers:

It was mainly for Contra, but since the code was so famous, Nintendo/Konami had used in many other games such as Ninja turtle, Gradius, Batman etc.

I remembered my buddy used to put some code that sounded like that in his Super Nintendo as it was loading and it had to be put in before it flashed or something, and we played street fighter and by doing so we could use the same fighter, of course were taking 25yrs ago so I can’t remember exactly what it was,,

I used to play Street fighters too, but hardly any good at it.  Always admire those guys whom can play it in the arcade and finish it.

Yeah we finished every one of them, I don’t remember names the guy with the white suit rio or something, he was my fav but also the hardest to finish! I think he just walked off into the sunset or something, I think we were so pissed,,
